..you've therefore been wrong for years.
Kroneke didn't decide on which players to bring in.
Kroenke didn't make the players make basic errors week after week.
Kroenke didn't pick Wenger's team.
Kroenke didn't make our defence one the worst around - and a laughing stock.

The problem has been really quite simple.
A decade of bad transfer decisions and sub standard players, coupled with poor team management and coaching.

Their biggest crime in recent years is keeping Wenger even after he dropped the mask of fiscal responsibility and started throwing away money on players like Chambers, Xhaka, Mustafi and a bunch of others who're fortunately no longer here.

16m each for chambers and welbeck, 2 horrific players. That 32m could've gone on a quality cb.

Now that they don't have Wenger to shield them, these frauds are getting exposed.

Arsenal is going to be hell, fire, and brimstone for Kroenke.

We've not qualified for the CL for a number of years (the rot started under Wenger), on top of that Wenger and co wasted money on players that have no resale value, Xhaka, Mustafi etc and put them on high wages, something that happened far far too much under Wenger, overpaying average players, then on top of that we let our best players run down their contracts and leave for nothing or next to nothing (again it started under Wenger), this is why we're in the negative now.

Would have happened under Wenger too because he wouldn't have had CL either, Wenger got sacked in time for him, despite his poor performance some people still praise him, for some reason he always comes out as the good guy despite being complicit in the direction of the club after the stadium move.

Some people willl say he did well after the stadium move, I dont necessarily agree, Leicester won the title and are challenging again despite selling and buying little, IMO Wenger changed all that was good about Arsenal on the pitch after we moved, he undid all the good work he had done.

He always had a bit of an obsession with building a youth team, I remember his 10 year plan to develop our youth team when he arrived, that really fell on it's face when his team of youngsters failed time and time again, despite everything we invested in it it yield a very poor return, clubs like West Ham, Southampton etc have shown us up over the years spending a fraction of what we did.

Wenger had a role as football manager and a role in getting the club debt reduced.

That is a conflict of interest.

In the end he was no longer interested in success on the pitch, just off it.

I wouldn't say he was no longer interested in footballing success. I still believe that was his priority. But he was closely involved in getting the stadium debt down - and that was bad for the footballing side. Great for the owners and the finance department, but terrible for the football.

A football manager should not have to worry about that, and should instead be knocking on the CEO's door asking for more money.

Kroenke never invested the requisite money to make arsenal a powerhouse and basically only his wallet has benefited from the Emirates move. If mbs or some other rich Arab owned us or usmonov was allowed to do something then ya we would of won more trophies for sure

^^ Unlike Chelsea or City, Kroenke wasn't trying to whitewash his ill-gotten wealth.

He's a businessman, and is trying to maximize profits with minimal investment. It used to work when the TV deals, CL football and sold out matchday seats were happening. He gave Wenger and Gazidis a ton of leeway in 2017, spending £100m on Laca+Auba and handing Ozil £17m/yr and Mhikutaryan £10m/yr.

With match day fees down 30% in a single year, some big changes might be coming down the pipeline.
