It would be everything he wants. Hed get to be supreme overlord of a club again, and its a project, which is what he apparently said he wants

He obviously wants to work with world class players. Once you have coached a Henry or a Fabregas you can’t easily step down to managing a second tier side. To me the ideal club for him is and Everton or Southampton. Proper top flight clubs with infrastructure that he could get competing for top four.

It kinda escaped him when he made that comment that going back to sausage rolls is all very well, but we were paying caviar prices for tickets and he was being paid caviar wages

To manage at a lower club you need to be able to make do with the resources you have and be able to bring out the best in the players you have.

Both of which he failed miserably at here in the last few years.

He'd fail anywhere he'd go and clubs know it hence no one has recruited him

Apparently, if you read the papers, number of smaller clubs have approached him, but due his long association with AFC, and 'being known as an Arsenal man' , has stopped him from accepting those offers. He doesn't want to manage in PL.

Plenty of Everton equivalents in other leagues around Europe

Plenty of lower league and non league clubs

He has his heart set on Bayern. He’s always been keen on Bayern, Real and PSG. Unfortunately he missed his moment by staying too long at Arsenal. But football is a weird business. Who’d have guessed Ranieri would return and win the league fifteen years later.

i disagree. i think he could do well at lower club cause they'll feel lucky to have him so he'll inspire players and be viewed as god. a bit like rafa at toon.

at top clubs he's finished.

At Arsenal he will always have the legacy of Wengerball. If he goes to a lower level club it becomes all about surviving the drop.

Look at Manuel Pellegrini, the Chilean Wenger. Does anybody look at him now as the swashbuckling manager that won the league with City in 2014? That coaxed 20+ goals each from Yaya, Dzeko, Negredo and Aguero?

Nope, now he's just like every other struggling mid-table manager playing inconsistent football with a shitty squad.

Way things are at Arsenal, I think Wenger might still find a way to Arsenal though in a different capacity. Advisor or Director. But not going to happen until Raul leaves. Don't think he and Raul can coexist.

If Raul doesn’t push for Emery’s sacking, then he’s just as complicit in our downfall as Wenger ever was.

Would definitely take Wenger back at this stage. Raul could been his new Dein. :hiding:
