if we somehow get CL off performances like this, he needs to go regardless. Our performances will need to improve dramatically from here on out for me to accept Emery as Arsenal manager following this season
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

I have finally made my mind up.

I want him gone.

We struggled against a relegated fodder.

We had no structure in place. Just depending on individual plays.

I can take a few off games as long as we have a plan and a style that is being developed.

But we have none.

What we have here is a manager that is clueless and just tries things at random and hopes things work out.

You have to be kidding yourselves if you think this guy is going to win us the league. Honestly, I didnt even expect him to when he was hired, but at the time I supported the hire thinking he will have have a structure in place and teams will be more disciplined under him.. But it has been anything but that. I have not seen ANY improvements since he has been here.

You mean Auba? Without Auba's individual brilliance we would have been in relegation zone with Emery's shitty tactics.

He had enough time.

It's time for him to go.

Keeps picking AMN and Xhaka.

I don't need to say anymore.

10 men played better than we did with them in the team, how many times does he need to be shown they are fkin up this team?

In fairness to Emery the subs did make a big difference. Much more intensity in our attacking play

You are so delusional with this "it's because of Xhaka and AMN, without them Emery will bring us CL glory".

We played better because we were actually forced to play offensively.

Hush your gums.

Love this guy. The fight he has instilled in this team is refreshing to the previous regime.

He must see by now that he can't start Xhaka. Playing Xhaka severely disrupts the game of other midfielders around him. Torreira and Ceballos are being forced to play further up the pitch where they're not as effective.

Ceballos was great picking up the ball from deep against Burnley, beating the press and getting the ball to our attackers. We haven't looked as good in possession since Xhaka has come back.

Torreira is now playing this box to box role and Emery has said he wants him winning the ball high up the pitch instead of sitting deeper to protect the defence. Putting Xhaka in the role means we have a player that can't do either of what Ceballos or Torreira can other. It leaves us open and vulnerable.

Carabao Cup on Tuesday with Man Utd after that. We'll play the kids in the cup, but we'll see what he does against Utd. Another away game.

Can anyone else answer that second point, asked multiple times but yet to get an answer from any of the UKB.

Q - Since taking over last year, name one area where Unai has improved us (i.e. attack, defence, style, mentality etc.).

I prefer our approach to big games under Emery. I haven't checked stats so i don't know, but it feels we're doing better in those.

We did better in top-6 games last season than we've done under Wenger in recent years.

Unai's problem appears to be the games against teams 7-20 where we're supposed to express ourselves, where his reactive nature interferes with the way we should be playing.

It's a strange situation. We used to be flat track bullies. Now, we make a meal of everything. :dontknow:
