Tierney got more and more overrated on this forum the longer the deal dragged on. He is an injured LB from a not even CL team from Scotland, it will take 2 minimum full seasons to adjust to PL football.

B-b-but VVD...yeah he had 3 years experience of getting tonked by the PL Top 6 before he got to where he is.

Yeah, this is nonsense. He might take some time to adjust to the quality of the Premier League - especially given his recent injuries - but this idea that it will take a minimum two seasons for him to adjust is pure speculation. Plenty of players have come from lesser leagues and made the step up very quickly, and Tierney's skillset is suited to the Premier League and the way we play football. I've no concerns and am confident he'll be a key member of the team by the end of the season, if not a lot sooner.

I think we'd see a healthy 7-10 points gap between City and 'Pool come the end of the season.
