B-b-but VVD...yeah he had 3 years experience of getting tonked by the PL Top 6 before he got to where he is.

Yeah, this is nonsense. He might take some time to adjust to the quality of the Premier League - especially given his recent injuries - but this idea that it will take a minimum two seasons for him to adjust is pure speculation. Plenty of players have come from lesser leagues and made the step up very quickly, and Tierney's skillset is suited to the Premier League and the way we play football. I've no concerns and am confident he'll be a key member of the team by the end of the season, if not a lot sooner.

I do wonder how thinly they'll be stretched this season, especially as they didn't strengthen their squad at all this season.

I think we'd see a healthy 7-10 points gap between City and 'Pool come the end of the season.

That said, Liverpool have proven to be a European club, so I won't be surprised if they reach the final of the UCL again.

Barca in the group of death.

Man City, yawn, have it the easiest.

VVD wins UEFA Men's Player of the Year.

Give the UCL title to Liverpool already.

The final is in Istanbul.

Am still pissed off that Man City get a piss poor group. I'm sure they will have the easiest run-in.

My line-up for EL games this season:

Not Leno
Not Bellerín - Not Sokratis - Not Luiz/Holding - Not Tierney/Monreal
Not Torreira
Not Guendouzi - Not Ceballos
Not Pepe - Not Laca - Not Auba

In other words. Dgaf.

Hope we get knocked out in the group stage. Otherwise, Unai will run this team into the ground by playing our strongest 11 in the EL.

The UCL starts tonight.

Some blockbuster clashes.

- Napoli/Liverpool
- Dortmund/Barca

Some exciting ones:

- Inter/Slavia
- Benfica/Leipzig
- Chelsea/Valencia

Hope Spurs get embarrassed by Olympiacos tonight. Would love to face them in the EL.
