What are your favorite movies of Scorsese and Kubrick?

Considering the incredible oeuvre of these two gurus, I don't really feel a need to rank their work, but here's my take -

Scorsese
Underappreciated: Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Casino
Overrated: Shutter Island
Favourite: After Hours, Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, Goodfellas

Kubrick
Underappreciated: Eyes Wide Shut, Lolita
Overrated: None
Favourite: Dr. Strangelove, Paths of Glory, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange

How can Full Metal Jacket be overrated when everyone hates it?

I like parts of it but not the whole.

Indeed a dark day for movies and fans all over the world but I'm hoping they sort it out.

Spider-Man probably isn't scheduled to make an appearance for a while. Far from home just came out so there won't be another film for a few years and can't see him making a cameo in the movies that are due out next couple of years. So they have time to fix this.

MCU saved Hollywood. Not fixing this is the first step in to destroying it again as it was going to be pre 2008.

They aren't dumb.

So basically. Sony didn't want to share the profits of spiderman 50/50 with marvel. They've just made $1 billion on far from home. Marvel wanted a 50/50 share. Sony said no. I mean they'll make more from 50% marvel production than they will with 100% Sony production. Nice 1 Sony.

Umm yeah. Sony can't be trusted with the Spidey property (besides Into the Spiderverse. Didn't think Vemon was great, but good ). Since Marvel has taken over creative control, Tom Holland and Spiderman has been once again praised by fans, better than Tobey.

Btw Sony's future spiderman movies won't be able to mention anything mcu related so it's gonna be a shitshow and the mcu is gonna what?? have to say peter went into hiding in siberia permanently or something ffs lol
