I think the best thing about all of this is we're finally enacting a clear plan to overhaul the squad, and it's happening at a quick pace. Last summer we signed a great new goalkeeper, and finally bought a quality defensive-minded midfielder. This year we've brought in a quality winger and a new left-back who'll immediately become first choice. These players are all good ages and will retain their value down the line, so the long term future of the club is looking bright.

In amongst these quality, long-term solutions to key positions, we're also being pragmatic and buying shorter term solutions for good money, as well as young players for the future. We're also finally starting to sell players for good fees which has been a huge stumbling block for us.

There are still areas that could be improved, third choice striker, back up RB but we are as strong as Utd, Chelsea and Spurs imo. If Bellerin and Tierney are back soon (and Holding) then I think we could even challenge City/Liverpool.

Another couple of windows and the de-wengerisation of Arsenal should be complete. Then we can start competing for titles again!!!

Massively. All this talk of a 10 year rebuild should hopefully die down.

Even if we dont win any trophies this season, we are another summer away from having a fully functioning team that has proper depth throughout and a step towards properly challenging.

Its a family clear out and we can get back to being run like a proper competitive football club.

I've not been this happy with AFC since we sold Giroud and Wenger left.

I will say that when felt it was time for Wenger to move on, one could not know how it would pan out... there is never a gurantee of success...

first year was lookin real good until a classic swoon... we won nothing and didnt make UCL

I am loving tghis transfer window and am excited about what this squad may become.

Not necessarily even talking about any kind of success. It's just that this club needed a breath of fresh air. The cult of personality Wenger had was just bad for the club all around. He had too much influence in the way the club was run and the success he's had in the first couple of years made him get way too much leeway in the eyes of a lot of fans and the board too. Now at least even if we were to fail, we can judge the management more objectively without the past clouding our judgement. Having said that, I do feel things are changing for the better in multiple ways - the overall mentality, our transfer business, etc.
