Is this sloppy or rash behavior?

Xhaka picks his nose while Watford score the winner.

I'd say it's something else.

Not the first time he pulled an 'incident' of this nature either.

Nowhere near Gallas levels. Not seen him walk off the pitch or sit in the centre circle sulking.

'Twas a joke

I'd say that incident was more down to a lack of concentration rather than laziness. It's unexcusable, but I don't think Xhaka actively spotted the danger and just decided he couldn't be bothered.

If Unai feels little creative, he can easily replace Xakha w/ Luiz. Better than him in all respect. Provided, our CBs , Holding, Sokratis, Chambers, and Movapranos all click.

'Twas a rhetorical question.

Granit clearly spots Cleverly—who couldn't be more in the center of his field of view—then proceeds to stand idle and starts to pick his nose.

I would've given him the benefit of the doubt if there wasn't a lengthy pattern or recurring incidents where he flat-out neglects to carry out the most basic of defensive tasks.

This misconception of him being some sort of a never-say-die type of player has to stop as soon as possible. Xhaka is a player who can be arsed—but only when he feels like being arsed.

He wouldn't last a season under managers like Antonio Conté or George Graham—and it's not because of his lack of mobility.

I think there's a wide middle ground between a player being lazy and a never-say-die attitude player. He's committed and a hard worker for the most part, but I think his main issues are these lapses in concentration which unfortunately undermines the majority of his good work. I don't consider him a lazy player, just a mistake-prone one who isn't as switched on as he should be at times.

I do agree that lapses in concentration can be misconceived for laziness or a lack of discipline.

I also agree there are clear signs that he suffers from these lapses.

However, I don't think incidents like the one above can be put down to a lack of attentiveness alone.

Man was attending to his nose professionally. That's one of those ones where you suddenly remember your car doesnt have tints and then you spot the footie mum staring at you at the lights.

Xhaka was fully invested in his nostril.

Perhaps he is trying to pick a winner for the next Derby. :arse fan:

Worth noting that the top-2 are DMs (or whatever you want to call Captain Xhakman).

PG busy watching replays of Anfield '89 during the Invincibles season.

Actually, the best football ever played in the Prem was by the Underachievers in 07/08. Shame...
