At least Sanders has some hardcore support to make this interesting.

Not sure who this Warren person is, but Sanders is at least a genuine decent person who could give Trump a run for his money in the ideas and ethics dept.

Trump doesnt have an ideas and ethics dept. Tbf.

Just been watching the CNN debate ............

The problem with the Democrats is they keep talking about "being too Left" and trying to take the "sensible" middle road, Hillary did that and lost.

Do you know why? take a look at the landscape, Donald Trump is in the White House, does that look like the landscape of "playing safe".

In America today ground swell voting is winning elections and you don't win in that climate by being meh centre, if your going to engage the Left and all those loony students on the campuses you have to get them excited enough to rally them and their friends to actually vote, Americans know that some of Sander's promises are a bit too far ......... but so was Trumps and he's still living off it.

People thought Obmama and Clinton were the nice middle of the road, Centre Left guys, and they saw absolutely nothing change because nice won't get it done.

Sanders could have a shot imo, yes he'll make lots of enemies, but those enemies are hated by a lot of people in America and they'll only get off their asses to vote if they see a candidate willing to take them on.

Not everyone in America is warm to socalism, but a lot of people are beginning to and if their not represented then the Dems can kiss any hope of winning goodbye.

Tbf as well what you guys call Socialism is just typical European politics to us, you guys talk about Universal Healthcare the way we talk about communism as being too extreme Left.

"It'll ruin America!!" yet Canada just next door looks down and laughs.

It would certainly be fun to watch. But I still think there are just too many good ol' boys in 'Murica that will never vote for Sanders. Likewise all those rich pensioners in Florida aren't going to vote for a man who wants to tax and spend their retirement money and take away their private healthcare.

Warren can't win because of all the Pocahontas jibes and the fact she is very Commander Data style on being "down" with the ordinary people (just look at the livestream video of her trying to drink a beer!)

So I ask the wise people of the UK and the rest of the world. How do we erase and eradicate over 200 years of bad ideas, violence, and ignorance?

And you call yourself an American smh :snooty:

'Tis an easy fix, my compatriot. Get a bunch of black people—okay well, in this climate, brown people (shout-out to our Hispanic and brown Muslim brothers and sisters) would probably work better—to march with guns on the streets in broad daylight. Hit up Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Ohio, and Wisconsin for maximum effectiveness. I bet it wouldn't even take 24 hours for firearm bills to be passed. At least it'd be a start to actual legislation for stricter control.

Bernie/Warren is the way to go.

Pro net neutrality
Pro regulation of Wall Street
Regulate social media as a utility
Universal basic income
Medicare for all
Carbon tax
Control drug prices
Minimum mandatory paid leave of four weeks
End bidding wars for company relocations
etc.

If that's his neoliberalism, then sign me the f**k up. Of course, I'm not in full agreement with every economic policy of his, but for the most part, I agree. Also Yang, like most Democratic candidates, is liberal on social issues.

And I'd want him as VP to Sanders or Warren (so he can get experience in government), then he can be the front-runner to possibly take over in 2024 after Sanders or Warren. The combination of them, and we could have a modern-day FDR era, something the country desperately needs.

It should be whoever gets the most votes out of the primary candidates vs Trump because the US is a democracy.

Warren is the only other real progressive other than Sanders, and realistically has a better shot at being the nominee than Sanders does.

If i was a US voter my vote preference would be:
1) Bernie
2) Warren
...empty spaces...
10)Buttigieg
11)Kamala
...
1001) Biden

Another issue with Biden is that he apparently does the same thing that Trump was accused of. I never noticed this before but it will be interesting to see what happens if that spectre rises.
