He had the stupid, clumsy tackle problem when he was at Gladbach, and hasn't changed at all.

I think he still holds the record for the number of red cards in one season over there.

He's an unintelligent player.

It's not £40m. In fact, there is no credible source citing that it's £35m either.

Two of the most reliable sources—Guardian and Telegraph—claimed that it was an initial fee of £25m rising up to £30m.

It's Mustafi who we signed for a flat £35m.

............ our next captain apparently.

If Emery makes this dud our captain I will have serious concerns ......... but then again I can see his issue.

We've let all our captain material leave, Sokratis is new, so is Torreia who may of just recently flirted with leaving.

Who else do we even give it to?

The state of this team.

Hopefully, the captaincy has an opposite effect of our fortunes since he's been with us.

" No less than seven goals were conceded by Arsenal last season in the Premier League as a direct result of mistakes by Xhaka. For context, Shkodran Mustafi directly caused three. "

the role of the Captain's armband has been largely symbolic at Arsenal for years now so I can't really say I care.

AGREED!!! Xhaka is like a deer in headlights :hiding: under PRESSURE situations!
He looses the ball under pressure & Under NO PRESSURE!
With NO 'MAN ON!' he GIFTS the ball to Enemy players!

He Be in the Midfield watching Opposition players walk past him with the ball LIKE
:tumbleweed:
Sometimes Strikers directly, Pauses for 5 seconds on the ball! CONFUSED!

Imagine if we took that supposed 55mil IMMEDIATELY from Ac or whoever,
you'd know something was Mortally Wrong with him. Wish we had!
I hope we do, all Emery Cameras & STATS have to show his Errors outweigh anything else & bring the team down along with Mustafi!

I still love the Swiss Vinnie Jones. Really hope he can turn his career around and win over more fans. Unfortunately the desire for fans to be right on the internet makes it hard for players to do that these days.

Wish we sold him.

Such a limited, one-dimensional player.

We have a history of lopsided CMs. Xhaka, Ramsey, and Coquelin in the last five years alone.

Why can't we get a CM who can actually play as a complete CM?

Sigh.

Our fans have decided he's shit, so they'll ignore every good thing he does. For good or for bad, he's still the most complete CM at the club. And yes, he's better than Torriera

That's an outright lie.

I've decided a long time ago that he doesn't have the tools to be a starter for a club that aspires a top 4 finish in the Premier League. That didn't stop me earlier today from praising him for his fine pass to set up Nketiah. Just like that hasn't stopped me from praising him in the past whilst simultaneously being one of his critics. The same applies to numerous Arsenal fans who are more than capable of praising a player they don't particularly rate.

Stop painting everyone with the same brush.

He isn't suited for the PL. That doesn't make him a bad player, it just means he needs to play in another league.
