Would actually be happy with this signing. Watched plenty of him in the Copa America. He is a quality player we could actually afford.

We won't afford Everton (Soares) now after the Copa America he's had.

Seen 3 YouTube vids so consider myself an expert on soares.

Must get.

Hes guaranteed a starting place and a move in or two seasons for less than we paid for him and I think everyone else is pretty stacked for WFs that has the money to get him. That or they're on bigger targets.

Only concern is getting bullied by west ham and everton (fc) for the fee.

This guy can play. If edu means getting pure footballers into the squad I'm all for it. Having one foot into Brazilian market would be sweet. Genuinely the most exciting link for me.

Agree with the bit about having one foot in the Brazilian market.

FoxSport and UOL:

Arsenal are believed to have agreed a deal to sign Everton, with club doctors said to be travelling to Brazil to conduct a medical with the player. The deal is worth an estimated €28m + €12m add-ons.

Do our doctors normally travel to places to perform medicals, or does the player come to us?

Usually medicals are done within the same country as the club which buys the player.

There are exceptions, for example when the player is still busy competing in an ongoing club -or international competition and is unable to travel on short notice.

Another example is when an agreement is made on TDD whilst the player still resides in another area or country.

I think they do that on special occasions. I don't think Ozil's medicals was done in London.
That said, I will only believe the Everton and other transfer stories when they are signed. Arsenal is a cannon fodder for bullcrap transfer rumours.

........ 1 - nil to The Arsenal
