Trashy behavior by the club.

This is a very un-Kosc thing and I don't expect anything better from our current administration.

He's been at the club for almost 10 years and played many years with injections before every game.
Let him go or atleast reduce the asking price to a more reasonable one.

Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny stunned the club earlier this week by demanding that he be released from the final year of his contract and allowed to return to France for free.

The 33-year-old centre-back will not travel on the club's tour of the United States despite Arsenal's insistence that they will not let him walk out of the door for nothing.

This can't be right .......... wonder what's going on?

This is un-Arsenal like. No need to release a statement even if the captain is acting like a chump. Kos isn't a good leader and we need to get rid of him quickly. Hopefully this doesn't disrupt our training but we need more details. Player mutiny already?

Not without some millions added to our bank account.

Would give Sokratis the armband until Bellerin/Guendouzi/Torreira/potentially Tierney is ready

Are you being serious right now? How are you blaming the club for this?

He is in the final year of his contract, so we are well within our rights to demand a fee for him.

Loyalty is a two-way street. When he was injured for almost a year, we still maintained our duty of care to him, paid his wages and ensured he got back to full fitness. We did not neglect him in his time of need. Now he wants to go, and isn't getting his own way, he's throwing a tantrum.

This is disrespectful and classless from Koscielny. The club, from what I can see, have not done anything wrong. If they made a promise to him and went back on their word, then the club would be at fault. But that doesn't appear to be the case.

Maybe we did go back on a promise

Koscielny is one of the most professional players we’ve had

I’m more on the side of the fact that we probably promised he could leave but given we don’t look like we’re bringing in another senior centre half that can take his place, we wanted him to stay

I missed this. Shocking behaviour from the captain if true.

He's showing himself to be very unprofessional with how he's handling this. If you don't get your way, the professional thing to do is carry on with your duties.
