Everyone better allocate three hours.

What an idiot. Surely he should have seen the connotations of that?

Danny baker has been naive
He has been doing famous people dressed as monkeys since his greater London radio& tfi Friday days
Were he making a point he would have been far more subtle about it
Shock jockery is not his Schtik
Were it so he would be better at it than anybody else
He has an end of the pier music hall sensibility
He made a misguided public tweet
I have listened to every radio show he has presented and read every book he has written
The man has no political or social agenda
But that will not matter to people who can jump to offence without regarding the above
Prepare for more bland presenters/ politicians and public figures are put forward
In the meantime true racism will fester among the crackpots losers and others who feel their vile opinions are not given a hearing
Let's hear everyone so we can expose it for the narrow minded bollocks it is
I will keep a Danny baker book on my dashboard in support of a working class radio genius
The BBC can go back to the facinating topic of book lack in ongar

The problem is Starmandb in this day and age you won't get away with that, pure and simple.

Also putting a new born baby as a chimp isn't exactly classy is it?

I'm no wall flower, I'm not PC at all but even I can see how stupid this was, do people not think when they go on Twitter?

If anything this is why I detest Twitter and am not on it, people especially in the public eye who think that vomiting their every thought or wisecracks to the general public at large is a good idea are literally asking for trouble.

When your in a pub and surrounded by 4 people if you make a bad joke you risk offending 1 or none of them if you know them well, you broadcast a bad joke to millions .......... how many people are going to take offence especially when half of Twitter actually LOOK for offence as its filled with Far Left activists on patrol clamping down on free thought?

No, I'm afraid if you go walking barefoot in the Jungle, expect a high chance you'll get tracked down and eaten, this is just the latest example of many.

I agree
He has been incredibly stupid for an intelligent man
And I am surprised that he has been so naive in thinking this won't fly
I am expecting to become a grandad in September
Should the baby receive a bib or anything with cheeky monkey on
I would take it as an accepted phrase for the young without any racist conotation
Yet h&m were recently chastised for doing that very thing
Surely the racism comes from people who equate monkeys with black people
To me it's a little boy in a hoodie

In this day & age people see the worst in everything like this. It’s not always done with any malice or racism.

I think you have to look at people’s past record, and make a judgement based on that. I’ve never seen the slightest hint of anything like this from Danny Baker. I can’t believe he’d have spoken the millions of words he’s spoken ad-Lib on live radio for decades without revealing even the slightest hint of being a racist.

He’s messed up. He posted a silly photo to mock the royals, and its content has had the sort of reaction you’d expect in 2019. No producer would want it done on their watch, so they fired him.

I’m sure it’ll blow over in a few months and he’ll be back on the radio somewhere.

Remember that young racing driver who had both his legs amputated after an accident a few years ago?

Well....

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/motorsport/48329869

Billy Monger has claimed his first victory since having both his legs amputated after a crash two years ago.

Monger, who is competing in Euroformula Open races, won the Pau Grand Prix.

"Can't believe it, I didn't think two years on I'd be winning races," said the 20-year-old Briton.

The Carlin driver - in a specially adapted car - dropped to last after switching to wet-weather tyres, a strategy which paid off as he surged past other drivers in France.

When Motopark duo Julian Hanses and Liam Lawson collided and took each other out, Monger - who had qualified 11th - inherited the lead and held on for victory.illy Monger has claimed his first victory since having both his legs amputated after a crash two years ago.
