Which part? You think his style of play is suited for the PL?

Nah north bank gooner had a post but deleted it calling people stupid thinking Xhaka had world class ability when they were clearly talking about Guendouzi

Xhaka looks 100x better for Switzerland than us

^ That's largely because the average international game is played at a much lower tempo.

He also doesn't have as many defensive responsibilities and most teams Switzerland face are strongly inferior.

As soon as they do face a team that plays at a higher pace, his many weaknesses start to show. Just wait and see when he plays Portugal later tonight.

Additionally the gulf in quality the average team Switzerland face and the average team we face is notably greater.

You missed a PEACH!

XHAKA was the MAN!!! ..too give up possesion with an UNFORCED ERROR...

UNFORCED I SAY...

give up posession in his own half to the opposition which lead DIRECTLY to the HATRICK goal for Chritiano Ronaldo!!!

It was Expected, not suprising...can't wait for this guy to leave Arsenal.

He wants to leave us because we didn’t qualify for the CL, in case people didn’t know

He needs to go, will do well over there with less pressing and pace as others have said. f**k him off for 30m and replace.

I’m also fine if he stays because replacing all our midfielders won’t be easy and he does at least have an aggressive streak which I quite like

That's his public statement. Hes probably had enough of the criticism and wants to jog on to somewhere less stressful.

I'm actually cool with a massive clear out and the issues it brings with it. We need major surgery and I'd rather we go big and disjointed season than slowly try to repair the squad over years whith the same players showing the same limitations

Ok, I take it back, if they are offering £50m for him then it's a no brainer.

That's Dennis Praet and Joachim Anderson sorted, with about £5m left over.

Every extra penny counts in this summer window. :hiding:

50m? I almost feel bad for ripping them off like that, but it would be glorious.

I keep seeing about all these players we might lose like Xhaka and Kolasinac and all I can keep doing is grinning.

Its like a summer trash clear out and people are willing to pay for it.

Keep it up, get rid of em all.

Emery needs enough funds and wage space to strip this team of its useless core which is at least half of the first team and just keep the pluses, Laca, Auba, Leno, Torreia, Sokratis and get what he can to fill the rest and improve.

Wouldn't mind Willock stepping up to full time bench as well.

Agreed diamond. It doesn't make sense to me but xhaka in that league will be just fine. We need the money.
