Excellent news. Lacazette is here until 2023 but I wont argue with giving him a new deal.

Fairly certain it's 2022.

Don't think we've ever signed a player on a 6-year deal during AW's reign.

Bellerin got an 8 year deal iirc. Something like that, it was weirdly long

I heard they are going to offer the pair of them £250k.

Bit excessive but they get goals, if we low ball them they won't sign, clubs will be looking at them in the window.

Laca and Auba's scout reports and highlights would be an easy sell for any scout wanting to poach them for their club.

We need to batten these guys down, they are the only top performing players we have at top level.

Cant be arsed to save the stat but hes scored 100 goals in the last 3 seasons putting him in 6th place for goals scored in the last 3 years for players who have played in the top 5 leagues.

Messi 131
Suarez 115
Lewandowski 111
Ronaldo 107
Kane 101
Auba 100

Elite numbers and he deserves whatever they give him.

Re laca - not as many goals but big enough numbers at the end of the season and significant goals at critical times means he deserves his too. Hes been fantastic since a tough start to the season and has a more rounded footballing ability than auba imo.

I kinda ignore anyone that complains about them now because it's simply not worth talking about to someone who has watched a whole season of them and still not understood what they've done for this club.

I'd sell him ahead of Laca given his age but rather keep both

Get as much as we can for Auba and invest. He is 30 years old now.

With the money we'd get for him, we'd never be able to replace his goals. He's still got a couple of years in him and there are areas of the squad that are much higher priority for fixing.

Would it affect Laca if Auba left? I know as a club we can't think like that, but they seem pretty close, and we don't want to lose one and have another one unhappy, or wanting to leave as well.

We finally got two capable strikers in Laca and Auba after all those years under Wenger when we kept begging for one.

Unfortunately by the time we got them, the rest of the team went on a decline and the rest of the league, especially the top teams, grew considerably stronger.

We would have won a couple of league titles if Wenger had made a move for these two much earlier than he had.
