Are those them 2 blokes that just randomly jumped out the crowd to play or players brought and signed to play for arsenal ?

I was happy with 1.

Why couldn't we have done this in the league?

First English team to score 4 at Valencia

Is it true Miki won't play in the final as his nationality is banned in Azjerbaijan?

No, there will be 5 teams in UCL

If Tottenham won UCL and finished 5th and Chelsea won EL and finished 6th and we Arsenal finished 4th then we would have been relegated to the EL as winning the trophy holds more power. This is the only way a team can get knocked out of champions league for finishing 4th.

This is the only acceptable outcome. It would be f***ing perfect to have that happen again because we won the EL and they embraced empty trophy cabinetness again.

The Azerbaijan government usually grants exceptions for professional athletes, which includes Mkhitaryan, but just like with Dortmund, he elected not to travel for our away game against Qarabag for safety reasons.

If the past is anything to go by, the same will apply for the final in Baku.

You know what I find quite ironic?

Fans seemed to be more optimistic and upbeat when went 9 years without a trophy than the last few years.

For all the toxicity and gloominess surrounding the club, a lot of which I sympathise with and understand, since 2014, this is how we've done in cup competitions:

2014: FA Cup winners
2015: FA Cup winners
2017: FA Cup winners
2018: League Cup runners-up, Europa League semi-finalists
2019: Europa League finalists (TBC)

Our league performance has deteriorated, but we seem to go quite far in cup competitions.

It's interesting.

Obviously I don't want us to be known as a 'cup team', and want us to perform well in both the league and the cups, but upon reflection, we haven't done too badly in the cups since 2014.
