You could hog-tie Bergkamp and leave him on the centre spot, and he’d still be better than Özil.

Literally the world's most unique midfielder, we'd be mad to sell.

Name me another world class CAM that doesn't shoot and keeps his reputation despite managing no more than 8-9 assists a season for the better part of a decade.

I’m far from his biggest fan, but I actually think we should keep him.

We should be adding more quality.

Should only sell if the other team isn’t requiring us to cover some of his wages

Wouldnt mind if he went and we replaced him with someone that didnt pull out of every single challenge hes ever been put in front of.

He would be fantastic in a less physical league with GOATs in all positions around him, but his skillset is too niche for him to not be able to contribute as a goal / team press option.

Hes the only AM in the league that cannot live with the modern day all hands on deck requirements:

Eriksen
Firmino
David Silva
De bruyne
Hazard
Pogba

Etc all put in work to varying degrees over ozils output when they are deployed anywhere near false 9 or AM positions and it causes us all sorts of issues generally against teams that aren't afraid to be physical.

Hes not the biggest issue imo to our defensive shape (my constant crying about full backs should let you know how I feel), but hes next on that list of problems we have as a defensive unit.

Release the 350k pw and get some fresh blood in.

Target signing - Attacking Midfield

Age 30+
League Games missed - 16/7 5 - 17/18 8 - 18/19 15
Goals Scored - 16/7 8 - 17/18 4 - 18/19 5
Assists - 16/7 9 - 17/18 8 - 18/19 2
Salary - 350k a week

Who wants to sign this player? anyone?

There isn't a hope in hell of us selling Ozil unless we pay off his contract (40m) just look how Utd caught a cold with Sanchez, no club will want to make the same mistake with Ozil .... thanks Wonger and Gazidis the gift that just keeps on giving .....

And for the love of God, stop saying "China will buy him". Seen Chinese Super League purchases lately?

Fellaini and Dembele this year, probably for under £30m combined.

The cash spigot was turned off shortly after the CCP realized club owners were using inflated fees to move money out of the country.

If you want to launder money you could do it for a lot less than signing Ozil on a £17.2 million/yr contract.

Has anyone else ever seen those photos and video clips of dogs (other animals are available) that have a striking resemblance to their owners, or the other way round if you prefer?

If so, do you also think that GW has become a mirror image of our football team?

Count yourself lucky. The anti-Emery crowd comes out even when Arsenal aren't playing.
