Won all six games that Auba, Laca, Ozil and Ramsey have started this season.

On Ozil dropping deep, I'm not sure where the myth comes from that he doesn't because he does. He plays a lot deeper these days than he used to. Against Napoli, he dropped deep. Against Newcastle at home, he was pretty much playing as a DLP and AM combined in one.

Against Napoli, I'd say Torreira was the MotM. Ozil, Koscielny, and Niles were all very good. Ramsey scored and looked lethal, but was sloppy otherwise.

my experience has been that folks who love mesut COMPLAIN that he has to drop deeper to get himself involved.

my ONLY point is .....SO WHAT?!

people repeatedly say i hate mesut. i dont. i am a harsh critic cos i wanna see the guy at his best and helping us win and have many opportunities to score.

is he THE problem with AFC? I say no. When he does not play well he is A problem, yes.

we needa ger ridda several players at minimum and increase the quality overall.

Ditto the above, who was better than him?

I see a lot of big chat but nothing behind it.

Torreira was better. Ozil was good though, but Tor was more influential.

It doesn't always have to be one extreme or the other with Ozil. He can play, good, great, godly, awful, just so, so, horrible. Not every game he plays well in means he was the best on the pitch.

I think this argument is getting lost now. The whole dropping deep thing came up because he head to do it in like 1 game recently. Not that he does it all the time. He had to do it because our CM's weren't performing well, so him and Mhiki had to drop back to help. How it has turned into this argument I have no clue. :dizzy:

Cynical Gooner took a fragment of my original comment which clearly said Ozil put in a MoTM performance alongside Torreira and Ramsey. Such is his hatred for Ozil he took that as meaning Ozil was MoTM when what I actually said was Ozil, Ramsey and Torreira all put in MoTM performances.

Its what these people do when they have hate in their hearts, they miss the obvious. I don't have time to correct every single piece of nonsense written.

We need everyone to turn up all of the remaining games. He can't win them alone.

Who's up for another round of "Blame it on Ozil" after tonight's game?

I'm not sure if I want us to win more for the 3pts or to avoid the shenanigans in this thread?

I'm not sure he'll start.....maybe the best time for him is once the heat has been turned down a bit?
