I watched him play DM against Chelsea, he just didn't look comfortable there at all.

The impact Scott Parker has had on Calum Chambers' resurrection in central midfield at Fulham

The Arsenal loanee has transformed himself into one of the best performers at the club

Calum Chambers has revitalised himself at Fulham in recent weeks in a new midfield role under Claudio Ranieri - with Scott Parker the brains behind his resurrection.

The Arsenal loanee struggled at first after making the move from north London to west in the summer and was in and out of the side under former boss Slavisa Jokanovic courtesy of some pretty dire performances.

He struggled massively at centre half against Watford and was torn apart at right back in Cardiff, but Chambers has shown mental strength to come back from those performances and flourish in a central midfield role he first played at Liverpool in Jokanovic's last game.

Since then, he's made the position his own with a strong showing against Southampton in Ranieri's first victory before putting in a man of the match performance in the Chelsea defeat at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Chambers has come a long way from that performance in South Wales in October, but Ranieri has revealed how it was Parker, the former Tottenham Hotspur man, who convinced him that the Arsenal loanee was able to play in midfield.

Ahead of the visit of Leicester City, Ranieri said: "I spoke with Scott Parker and he told me he could play there and I believe he is very good. He’s intelligent and it’s good for the team and for me.

"Collectively, he links very well with the defensive line and the forwards and he has good movement, he is attentive."

Happy for him. I think he can still play a role for us next year. Koscielny isn't the youngest anymore. El Neny could be leaving. Who knows if Mustafi will stay.
Having him as a squad option for CB/DM sounds good to me.

That's great to see

Hope they buy him

Arsenal cannot recall Callum Chambers, 23, from his loan at Fulham despite several injuries to defenders, including Rob Holding being ruled out for up to nine months with a ruptured ACL. (Evening Standard)

A relief to hear he cant come back

I dont think hes is the second coming of Maldini, but we also have to buy a forward in January and it would have been easier if we could solve our lack of (fit) defenders without having to pay much by recalling Chambers for example.

I just hope Kos and Mavropanos get fit soon, and Mustafi and Papa don't get injured. We are one injury away from starting Jenkinson or Medley in CB right now.

Fulham is one of the few teams with a worse defence than ours....

Looked like he played well today on MOTD. Few good dribbles and passes and the defensive errors did not look to be his fault. Hope he develops well. Got a lot on his plate defensively with Fulham.

Arsenal fans are putting pressure on the club to recall Calum Chambers, 24, from his loan spell at Fulham, with the defender-turned-midfielder impressing for the Cottagers this season. (Express)

Lol what

Don't they have the worst defence in the country?

Hasn't he been moved out of defence cos he was awful and played elsewhere?

Scores today and so called Arsenal fans want him back

Dear god

Chambers playing DM for Fulham, not bad at all. Food for thought, coming season?
