He was shit for us and WBA but didn't he do well on loan at a german club?

Shouldve kept him after that

Hey! Was curious to know if Gnabry’s development is shocking to Arsenal fans. Why I ask is cause at Bayern arena to Sanches has definitely been in a rough patch and I feel if we sold him he would become a worldy elsewhere. Was their any decent amount of hype for Gnabry or did many of you believe him to be a lost cause?

cant speqk for anyone else but i thought he played decently in his opps and then got rented... then, surprisingly, sold... it was a baffling decision to me.
many here regret that move and were not behind it iirc

Gnabry was super hyped up

Had a decent run but had some injury difficulties. Then we loaned him to Tony f***ing Pulis

Murmurs about an attitude problem & weight issues but I don’t think there’s a huge surprise that he’s ended up as a very good winger

Everyone could see his potential but he didn't want to be patient. We sold him because he wouldn't sign a new deal and wanted to leave

It's a shame because he would have been in the first team last season

Wenger's youth development. If he'd have stayed his development would have stalled. Further proof that Wenger had no idea what he was doing.

Remember when people used to lay into him and wanted him gone because he apparently wasnt good enough? This thread is a great read.

To be fair, he matured and stepped it up in the last few years. He looks leaner, sharper and a much better player than the one we saw in the youth team. At a very critical time, he chose to go on a bad loan, then came back injured and overweight. When he left us no one predicted this meteoric rise.
