You can still spend what you want you just have to be more creative.

This is exactly my point and my issue with Kroenke and company. If fans like us, who only care what happens on the pitch, can realize this then why cant experienced businessmen. If the reason is not pride like I mentioned earlier then it can only be incompetance

:BangHead:

Kroenke isn't keeping money from the club.
We simply don't have the money because baldy doesn't know how to run a football club.

At least something along those lines. There’s no doubt that there are still loopholes to exploit. The problem is that Kroenke and co. are perfectly fine with waiting for some miracle rule to come along and while we wait we’ll be left behind in the dust by other more ambitious clubs. Our only saving grace during this period we’re in is for the coaches we have on the ground to make the best out of average players and for the scouting team to be quicker and better than everyone else at snapping up future star players.

Rams won last night, can't decide if them doing well is better for us or whether I just want all Kroenke's other teams to lose because he's a c***.

The times of the likes of psg, city and chelsea spending money they dont have is over. Even if we get a rich oil money owner we will still have to conform to the new and improved FFP rules.

That's also true. I myself don't argue for spending ridiculous amounts of money just for the sake of it, even if we were allowed. It's (ironically) a cheap way to win trophies. We do, however need to spend more and that's just a fact. We should go for an occasional superstar like Auba but a lot of the shortcomings in our squad could be fixed with players costing no more than 30-40m.

On the flip side, FFP actually would help clubs like us if they actually enforced it properly. Banning City from the UCL would send a strong message to the oligarchs that just injecting crazy money into clubs wont work anymore.

Yep. Normally I would be for our self sustaining model IF everyone else was made to abide by the same philosophy. But since this has never been the case, the idea should have been scrapped when it was clear the consequences against clubs like Chelsea, City, etc. was meaningless

Exactly - FFP won't do shit, the clubs will find loopholes and ways around it. It shows remarkable naivety if you think FFP of any kind will work. It Wass doomed for failure when it was first announced and any iterations will be doomed too.

Sven likely to leave just because the Suarez thing and because we don‘t spend.

Gossip says we are on some moneyball trip. Wonder which stats convice them to sign Suarez.

Meanwhile Sven will go to Bayern Munich and spend the cash on the greatest talents so they can compete in the CL for the next few years.

Good Lord... Hearing rumours that Stan and Josh Kroenke are considering re-branding the official club title as 'The Arsenal Dragons'.

Move would be similar to that taken by Cardiff City and is seen as a strategy to increase revenue and marketability in US and Asia markets where teams often have official nicknames.

Stadium re-branding also likely upon expiration of the existing deal with Emirates. The Lair of Flames is being touted.

I'm stunned
