Where were you when we were winning?

I have been cheering for our team, not the manager.

Why would you not cheer for our manager? even if you don't think he's the man for the job surely that should be based on results and he's not lost in 12 games.

If the manager does well we do well.

I wanted Wenger to do well, he just wouldn't after over 5 years and proved to lack a lot of basics in management and decisions after the Invincibles that's why fans turned on him, he had a decade to prove us wrong, your not even giving Emery half a season, seems a bit wankerish to me?

Dude you are chatting bare shit. Using your own figures for the seasons Emery finished (half a season in Russia is clearly not a full season) his average finishing position is 5th, how does that make him a midtable manager??? What does that make Wenger then!!!

Emery has done something 3 times that Arsenal the club have only done twice in our history, won European trophies.

My own figures? Those are from wiki. Do some research before giving your comments, ok?

So 5th is not midtable in La liga?

European trophies? You know there is another one called CL, right?

It's not a shame to be a midtable manager though.

:rofll: :rofll: :rofll:

1) - No they are YOUR figures because you quoted them. Next time quote your references but even then, you used them to make your point.

2) - No, midtable is like what most "normal" people would call midtable, around 9th/10th/11th (depending on the size of the league) - hence the name "midtable". I suggest you stop using words you don't understand.

3) - What does the CL have to do with it ? I made a point that Emery has won more European trophies than Arsenal have in our entire history. How many CLs has Arsenal won ? How many CLs has Wenger won ? Totally irrelevant. The Europa League is a European trophy. Not sure what planet you are on,

Quality player.

But needs to kick on now. Not been performing at the levels he can. Some of it is obviously due to fan toxicity from those who whine and boo, but he needs to take some responsibility too. Can be great, but when bad, he's garbage.

Solid game. 4 key passes, 3 of which were really good opportunities (Bellerin, Laca and Auba's header). He wasn't a game changer last night but he played well and also put in a defensive ship.

He has a good game. This was really a difficult game for everyone. Just look at Salah and Firmino.

Mesut Ozil is open to the idea of seeing out his career at Arsenal and believes he can extend his playing days for another eight years.

He told the Evening Standard: "Why not? In football, everything is possible but I am really happy to play for a big club like Arsenal."

Only for as long as he's producing performances.

At 350k pw of course he's not going anywhere.

Onviously no to crazy wages once his currect contract is up.

However, I have to say, that his style of play is such that he still has many years left.

His game does not rely on speed and athleticism.

His game is about guile, deception, and, high IQ play.
