Just watched the highlights

Both were penalties. We got lucky with the Laca handball but i'll take the point

We weren't going to win every game.

On we go

Interesting game ... Palace shut Ozil down and we looked a shadow of last weeks side, no surprise he got pulled, was he fit? Watching the game I got a few calls wrong, missed the handball (it clearly was) and would have sworn the second pen was a dive, but even though he went down like he was shot, Xhaka's leg went in and it was a pen .... who'd be a ref ...

We are a work in progress, today was a bad-day-at-the-office ... we move on

Only united dropped less points ( 2) to crystal palace since they came up
Embarrassing ?

Why are you bringing up irrelevant history from years ago??

I was talking about "this" CP team as in from this season that is massively struggling to score goals.

I'd rather be a jester than be a guy wishing we were going to lose just because your boyfriend Ramsey didn't start.

Really dug us out of a hole didn't he when he came on? quite frankly looking back on it wish we left Ozil on, he was pretty absent but it only takes one chance for him to make a difference.

Oh the master of alternative facts is having a go again.
Where did I wish we should lose? Any proof? Or will you come out with another lame excuse like nearly every other time in the past?

Would be nice if Captain Özil would have provided us with one decent chance against fuc*ing CP for his 350k/week or this this ask for too much? Oh I see of course I'm racist or islamophobe for doing so right?

Could you do me a favor and ring your fool bell at the start of your postings so I know I can concentrate on watching paint dry or something else what is similar useful. Thanks!

Without suggesting there's an anti-Arsenal conspiracy, it's not the first time Martin Atkinson's officiating has been substandard in one of our away games.

Safe for Laca's handball, a lot of decisions did not go our way in what was already tough game. We can not ignore the fact that the corner from which Palace won the penalty should not have been given because of the preceding foul on Holding.

The evidence was glaring as Holding's shirt got ripped to bits as result from said incident.

Let it be clear that yesterday we were our own worst enemy against a sturdy Palace side.

Here's a piece about referee Martin Atkinson by DailyCannon -
This decade Arsenal have only beaten 1 team away with Martin Atkinson refereeing

Image

Arsenal should’ve been prepared for a difficult day of officiating on Sunday, considering how rarely they win away from home with Martin Atkinson in charge.

Since the start of 2010, Arsenal have now played 18 away games under the referee. They’ve drawn five, lost 11, and won just two, both against Sunderland. Here’s the full list of results:

Stoke City 3-1 Arsenal [FA Cup]
    Blackburn Rovers 2-1 Arsenal [PL]
    Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal [PL]
Ipswich Town 1-0 Arsenal [League Cup]
    Tottenham Hotspur 3-3 Arsenal [PL]
    Fulham 2-2 Arsenal [PL]
    Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal [PL]
    Sunderland 1-3 Arsenal [PL]
    Manchester City 6-3 Arsenal [PL]
    Everton 3-0 Arsenal [PL]
    Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal [PL]
    Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Arsenal [PL]
    Sunderland 1-4 Arsenal [PL]
    Manchester City 2-1 Arsenal [PL]
    Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal [PL]
    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal [League Cup]
    Chelsea 3-2 Arsenal [PL]
    Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal [PL]

There were a number of debatable decisions during Sunday’s clash and, in fairness, they weren’t all in Crystal Palace’s favour. The handball by Alexandre Lacazette was the main call that went for Arsenal. However, there was shirt-pulling on the striker that could have led to a penalty anyway.

The Gunners got very few of the remainder of the big decisions. Rob Holding’s shirt was torn by a Palace player grabbing it in the build-up to their first goal, but nothing was given. Zaha appeared to dive to win a late penalty, and Jordan Ayew certainly dived when already on a yellow card earlier on.

Nonetheless, when you hear that the likes of Mike Dean or Martin Atkinson are in charge of your match, you need to make sure the game doesn’t go down to a refereeing decision. Arsenal should’ve killed the game off after going 2-1 up, but they didn’t.

Hopefully, the Gunners can get back to winning ways against Blackpool on Wednesday.

I have a problem when Arsenal fans start talking about embarrassing
I am bringing up past games to show that sides up and around the top have dropped points against palace before
As have some of our title winning teams
I don't see where embarrassing comes into it?
But under the narrower boundaries you set
In 14/15 crystal palace had scored 3 in 8 when they beat Spurs 2-1
And crystal palace hadn't scored in 7 games when they beat champions Chelsea last year

Thought zaha penalty was a penalty. Only saw it on motd. Xhaka also came out and said it was a definite penalty.

We're unlucky in that teams kick zaha all game every game and nothing is done hence he got so pissed off recently. Yet we do it and get punished.

Noticed the shirt pull on Laca so that's a penalty so justice served that we scored anyway. Holding should've ripped up his top and thrown it at the ref

Point is, the first penalty wouldn't even exist if Martin Atkinson called the blatant foul (shirt pull, tuck) on Holding.

Instead he awarded the corner which ensued the penalty.

Hypothetically they could still have won a penalty at a latter stage in the game, but what's irrefutable is that if Atkinson made the right call, the first awarded penalty would not have existed.

True, but you see stuff like that lots of times. If we're gonna count fouls not given every game, we'll end up with a loooot.

Difference between fouls missed and fouls blatantly ignored.

I'll never understand how a ref can see blatant evidence of the foul and still not give it

I think we should stop playing 4231 or 433 just because we need to play Ozil in the CAM position. I think when we play 422 with any of Welbeck, Lacazette or Aubameyang are just more lethal.

Mustafi will always find a way to let the team down, time to drop him and start holding and Sokratis in the middle.

You mean the 23min mark when Özil served Bellerin a shit pass so he had to change foot and three CP defenders ran between him and the goal?
Golden chance.... my ass
