Auba and Laca partnership is vexing. They complement each other well but against a good attacking side we’ll get exposed on the flank if we keep playing Auba wide. I wonder whether Emery selectively plays them together. Would be harsh on Laca because he deserves to start.

We get exposed on the flank whoever is playing there.

Still absolutely awful under Emery, along with most of our attacking play.

Saw realtalks post in the match thread as well and think he's pretty bang on. Our front 4 should be scoring for fun.

I have to agree with this.

We have Auba Laca Ozil and Mkhi.

We shouldn't be struggling to score goals.

Although it is still early so I am not going panic just yet.

One thing to note is that our attack looks much better once Torr comes on and he has not been starting. So I think its also a case of what/how Emery is playing behind our attacking players as well.

When we did the double in 97/98
We had 9 points after our first 5 games then with 9 goals
1 less than we have scored this season

Yeah, unfortunately not the same league, which is why we finished 6th last season and more likely to be around there this season as well.

Won the league with 78 points

I like that he assisted himself for the 2nd goal, not putting up with the rubbish our midfielders give him.

Baller alert today. Both finishes were great, the second in particular.

Nearly put welbeck on as well. Shame it was welbz to receive the pass though.

Best number 14 since Theo?

Need him to get the goals in the league now for FFL and Draft purposes
