They are pretty good in the ODIs tbh and will start the world cup next year as favourites but Tests, they are awful and Tests themselves are dying

Certainly up there. Not sure as an opener When you have to compete with the likes of W.G. Grace, D Compton, Strauss, Gatting etc. But definitely in there.

Ahead of Strauss easily for me. Cook just had so much more mettle, and has proved himself more. That India series for me is the clincher for him.

Actually, yeah, Grace and Gatting are probably just ahead of him as a pair, but definitely up there.

What a player. Can't believe he's so underappreciated because Pietersen didn't like him and threw a hissy fit. Also hated by Indians because they thought he might break Sachin's record if he played long enough :rofll:
