Imagine if England win it.

It would be unbearable watching the PL next season with the presenters wanking over Spurs.

"OHHHH.. Close by World Cup winner Eric Dier."

"Trippier, who won the World Cup with England of course. What a ball to Golden Boot winner, Kane. Nice pass to another World Cup winner, Eric Dier. And he slides it to.... World Champion Alli scores!!!"

Oh God, no.

Potrugal couldn't even finish in the top two of they're group though and we don't have the luxury of having ronaldo

Don't think England will need Ronaldo's MOTM performance of the Euro final.

I need to see Cripps' reaction if Giroud scores the winning goal against England.

Exactly. I have mind canoned that win out of my mind. No team that comes third should go through so as far as I am concerned Portugal have never won a trophy................ or at least if pressed they are the worst international trophy winners of all time.

Honestly, hand on heart if I could bargain Spurs winning the league for England winning the world cup I would. I probably wouldn't accept them winning it at the Emirates as that would be too much but yes... anything else I would take that. If we have to spend 5 years listening to commentators and pundits tossing Spurs' salad for a world cup win I would take it.

So what?

Would love it if we won in any way.

Do you think Spain give a shit they are regarded as worst ever World champions? Hell no

Do you think Greece care that they bored the shit out of everyone and are widely regarded as the worst Euro winners? Nope

Congrats to both

Likewise Portugal went undefeated throughout the tournament and won it

If they needed to finish top 2 then they would have gone all out to win that last game but once they knew they and Hungary were going through, they didn't care

Argentina reached the world cup final in 1990 after finishing third in their group. Fortunately for football the drugs didnt work in the final and they lost

Point is, who gives a shit

I wouldn't give a shit if we surpassed portugal and became the worst international tournament winners of all time, fortunately no matter what we do in the next two games we have already done more than enough to make sure that we will not come anywhere close to surpassing portugal as the worst international tournament winners of all time.

Portugal by far the worst team to win a major tourney in the history of football, as widely accepted by 99% of anyone with a passing knowledge of football..

Indeed, Greece were the legend killers, Portugal were just frauds.

It is not like I have anything against Portugal, I have been there numerous times and have always been fond of their team but there is no other way to call what we saw in 2016 other than high class bull****.

And Portugal got past whoever was in front of them

Scoring more goals and playing more games and didn't lose a game either
