Its why I stayed home to watch it.

That is a loser's mentallity. Winners care not who they face, winners only focus on winning each match whoever they play.

England is a loser's nation. Out against Columbia

Everyone knows that but still, this a big part of why England never win anything.

England have a decent chance vs Colombia if James dosen't play or is half fit, if James recovers. well.........

Providing the game doesn't end in a scoreless draw, whichever team scores first will progress.

Both teams have proven to be solid at protecting a lead, but also lack the belief and ability to turn games around.

Extra day to prepare, shorter trip to next match and in the "easier" half of the draw.

The perfect plan.

England have a poor defence so there is no chance of a clean sheet happening in this game, Colombia are an emotional team much like everyone in South America bar Uruguay and Paraguay, they could crack if they concede early.

Colombia have been impressive, played well having 10 men all game vs Japan, Smashed Poland and dug it out vs Senegal despite their opponents playing better and managed to keep a clean sheet twice which England have failed to do. Still, not sure about them without James, he really is their key player and talisman. Depends on how Colombia keep their composure for me.

Columbia are technically superior to us by quite a way. We can beat them for sure, James will not be fully fit either way and our first team is more rested but we need to be 100% absolutely.

We have sacrificed a more difficult quarter for a way more difficult round of 16, I tend to believe you should think about the next round only so can't help think that if that was the design it was a mistake.

Still it is exciting to be through to the quarters without hating the team like 2010. At least these guys had pride and gave their best.

We haven't won a knock out match since 06, doesn't bode well.

I think we will get ko'd they are technically better, cuardrado is a very powerful player, up against young who isn't as strong and not really a defender. Falcoa is very crafty the back 3 is inexperienced/has mistakes in it and a player playing out of position,, if alli plays we will only have one true cm in henderson, lingard and alli are very offensive, that could leave loads of space for james and their midifeld.
