Stoke City Vs Arsenal | Premiership 01/11/08

After last years near misses I was heading into the summer feeling good with the thought that the team would remain as a unit and that we could only come back stronger. I was shocked in how the club let Flamini, a key player and a revelation of the past year to go so easily. I thought if he wanted more money, give it to him as he was a crucial part of our team yet the club refused and he left. Totally avoidable and we lost a good CDM. Did we replace him? No as Wengers policies trusted a Carling Cup player of previous years to fill the void. I dont think we had the supposed 40 million but we probably had some form of money but we didnt use it. Another form of last years midfield was sold in Hleb afer he moaned. Another player of experience let go too easily (and cheaply) to another club of europe's elite. Hleb and Flamini had a chemistry with Fabregas and this year with Denilson and Walcott isnt the same. Walcott's improved due to Hlebs departure but with the latter leaving we're now bone thin in that area.

Long story short sold players with no replacements of equal or better value means cr@p.

Makes me wonder wether the papers were right about the argueing back stage...

It's impossible to know whether the bust-ups are true or not but one thing's for sure and that's that the Tottenham game has clearly knocked our confidence for six.

Add that to the fact that AW got his selection and tactics quite wrong today and you end up with 2-0. :crybaby:

Not getting exposed till March gave me hope this year... Not going to lie. I thought maybe things could repeat.

However, I have no reason to believe we can turn things around when they go bad because we have yet to do so with this group. This year the stubble came early and could last for the whole season? Who knows.... That's what worries me...

He will probably say we were the superior team that we were unlucky praise the mental strength amd i am tired of it and hold the manager responsible. The rules of enganement have changed and he must too or we will suffer. his denial now is bordering on denial. the squad has no depth no experience and Imo we are in a crisis. we are there for the pocking and the next 4/5 games fill me with dread. If we have any hope of a top 4 finish we must limp to jan and BUY! a CB a DM a SQUAD! Beaten bt Fulham, Hull Stoke and held at home by a bottom oh the epl spuds ir a crisis!
