Giroud says thanks for another winners medal ..... Giroud won more defensive headers than any other outfield player ..... that kinda helps when you are winning 1-0 .... don't think Lacca or Alba have won that many headers all season ....

Our last big game Lacca v AM .... Lacca didn't make one defensive header ... we lost 1-0 .... so your 'so bad' should be 'so important'

When you're isolated as an attacking player, as indeed Giroud was, then the way you contribute to the team is how you help the defense .... that's a lesson every feckin' player in our squad would do well to learn .......

Was he a star? no far from it ... did he buckle down and do the hard yards? yes he did ... and credit, and another winner's medal, to him for that

Giroud always polarizes opinions. Yes, he is not the best, but still this is his 4th FA Cup in 5 years, and he never lost in Wembley, and he keeps Morata out of the starting lineups, and he might keep Lacazette out of Russia. Must mean something, No?

Not only defensive headers, the entire plan was Giroud winning flick ons for Hazard. Even Jose admitted they couldn't deal with it

I feel we'd have won the EL if we had Giroud.

That daft rule not to let Auba play. Infuriating.

Yeah we got really f***ked by that rule. Auba instead of Welbeck in the team and we'd have been in the final

Delighted to see Mourinho with egg on his face. Ending the season trophyless after spending a small fortune and playing torrid football.
