I would not mind having this team at all.

In any case, the point is we can easily have a PL/CL-title contending team within one transfer window if management are willing and start preparations in advance

With an eye on bringing in Griezmann, they could consider taking a £35m hit; if OD were to continue to struggle for a second season, Barca's financial loss would mount well beyond that £35m figure.

- City, Liverpool, United and PSG are stacked in his position
- Chelsea have Hazard, Willian, Pedro & co
- Barcelona will be looking to avoid selling to Real Madrid
- Bayern and Juventus would have to almost double their current transfer record

The only plausible scenario I can think of is if Chelsea were to sell Hazard to Real Madrid, they could pay over the odds for Ousmane, if interested.

Wenger is a huge fan of his compatriot, has experience playing together with PEA and Mislintat is another familiar face for Dembélé. We have paid more outrageous transfer fees for players relative to their talent IMO.

Ultimately how much Dembele will go for will fully depend on how many clubs will show concrete interest in his services. Until they it's just guesswork based on the limited amount of information we have.

I accept those points but if Barca want Griezmann, then surely a Dembele + cash deal would be more lucrative for Barca and Atleti?

Allison
Bellerin - Skriniar - ??? - Nacho
Milinkovic-Savic - Fabinho
Mkhitaryan - Özil - Bailey/Guedes
Aubameyang

Chances of that are 0 and I have no idea what's going to happen with our centre-halves. There's nothing I'd love more than Kos to remain consistently fit but that's a pipe dream now and all our other defenders are utter trash. De Vrij is very injury prone, Manolas has gone off the boil a bit. Think we should go for De Ligt asap to get him acquainted with Prem football but a short-term option that isn;t TOO old is also urgent, Rugani also a pipedream.

Would also like us to sign a few younger players like Sander Berge, Malcom (though Bayern bound now), Oyarzabal etc. Ruben Neves even might be one to keep an eye on once he's had a few months in the Prem

If both clubs are interested, then that's certainly another viable scenario.

Whilst negotiating with fewer parties is more convenient, wouldn't Barcelona rather sell an elite talent to a club abroad, rather than to one of their main rivals?

Or is the ''Dembélé unsettled'' story tittle-tattle and is he looking to stay and fight for his place next season?

Will be interesting to see how all this will pan out.

It's ironic as these were the type of cheap potential French signings Wenger used to go for back in the day and people used to slate him for it and ask for more british players or proven players and now that we have gone for more of the latter in signings like Chambers, Mustafi and Xhaka we look far worse.

Nothing changes until Wenger leaves, I dont't want the club spending more money until we can see what a new mgr can do with our existing XI.

Except Xhaka, Mustafi, Welbeck and Cech. They can all go.

Unless Barca need the cash, do they even have to sell Dembele? It's not like he's at his peak. He could easily play as a rotation option for another season before becoming a regular at Barca. Alternatively, Barca could loan him out for a season to allow him game time.

I don't know if he's unsettled. It can't be for footballing reasons I'd presume.
