Can't take it seriously.
He's actually very good in it.
Saw it yesterday.
Very good film, I pity people who don't like Marvel films,
they are pure entertainment.
If you like Marvel movies.
Thor, Iron Man 1 & 2, The Avengers and Logan are good.
Iron Man is the only strong franchise Marvel has produced, generally their follow-up movies have been shit.
Fair enough if you like them (and obviously billions of people do), I just think we've become oversaturated with them this past decade (ever since The Dark Knight).
It's lazy and stale imo. Hollywood churns out an incessant amount of these movies because they bring in the most money.
It also means there are movies of other genres that aren't being produced because all the film companies care about is making new hero movies, sequels or spin-offs.
I don't think its lazy at all, anything but with regards to what Marvel are doing, creating a shared Universe on screen is a massive undertaking and as you said , it makes the most money because the people want it, same way as Star wars.
I don't think it is stopping other movies from being made, Get Out? Pacific Rim? Fast & Furious? Planet of the Apes? Dunkirk, none of these are comics.
Yes we're over saturated because DC and Fox's X-Men but Fox is being sold to Disney and DC can't get their act together, Marvel is its own studio so really they are the only ones I look to for pumping out Hero movies and they've done a fantastic job.
Quite frankly these franchises have saved Cinema, before Marvel came out Cinema was struggling and struggling badly, now its got billion dollar franchises running through their screens on a quarterly basis .......... believe me they are not complaining.
Black Panther is tearing it up right now globally and being celebrated, what other movie / franchise has ever been that much of an event .......... we still have Infinity War to go.
