Wenger believes this team has the talent and the mental toughness to win it all.

Giménez is not an undisputed starter for Atlético, but neither was Alderweireld despite putting in solid performances. De Vrij has built up a good reputation in Italy, but hasn't got the best fitness record.

Gimenez would make sense except we don't do smart buys anymore. Heck, we don't do obvious buys either, so I'm baffled how we did manage to sign Lacazette.
We need a CM foremost, but I'm sure Wenger is looking at Xhaka, Ramsey, Wilshere, Elneny, and Coquelin and wondering why we'd need to strengthen there. That's not even counting Cazorla and players who could play there like Chamberlain, Iwobi, and Welbeck.
