His work rate and tackling were brilliant and his link up play was on point. He did get muscled out on quite a few occasions, but that's to be expected from a player coming into the league.

He'll train hard, get stronger and quicker and become a success...

Other than the goal, what impressed me was his play on the left wing. He shouldn't play there, should be starting as striker, but it shows that even if he drifts out wide, he can beat defenders and get a good cross in, he has a good touch, and his interplay with Bellerin towards the end to send the moron free to run into the only defender he could run into was brilliant.

Wenger on Lacazette: "Every game he is stronger. Even with Giroud through the middle and him on the left, he did very well on the left."

Uh-oh.

You know whats going through Wenger's head right now lol....

Good start for him, obviously the goal but like said link up play and movement were good, he does bring better footwork and tech ability than Giroud. I like them as a striking partnership or Giroud off the bench depending on who we play and what formation. Still only one game but good start.

Absolute baller. Beautiful touches and movement, I was so pleasantly surprised considering I hadn't seen a whole lot of him.

I don't think he's going to take to the Premier League like a duck to water but he seems like a player willing to adapt and he doesn't seem one to be frustrated by a lack of service or lots of attention from defenders. His link up play is pretty good and his movement is smart, so if he works on that and takes his chances as well as he did with his goal today then he'll be a success for us.

Our problem for years often hasn't been the creation of chances, it's the squandering of them. He'll hopefully be the man to change that.

I can't help thinking how differently last season might have gone if we'd signed him last summer.

Always leaving ourselves short. We need a CM, CB, and GK this season but, atm, it looks like we won't be filling any of these positions. Tbf, though, we could probably get away with not buying a GK and CB but a CM is vital.

thought he was more of a fox in the box before he came. Now he's here looks far more like a technically gifted low center of gravity complete striker, kind of like tevez

Agree. CM is absolutely bare minimum for us having a decent transfer. We could deal with waiting on GK and CB for another season.

Aubameyang is pap, ball is hardly ever under control, always bouncing off his knees or shins, just like Loic Remy.

In my humble opinion he was Just Ok today , played well in the first half mainly coming a lil deep and making good passes because he had no chances in the box. Had couple bad touches in the 2nd half, unfortunately one of those was in the box and a good scoring chance, scored a bomb shortly after that was disallowed.

Link up play was very good if it wasn't for the shower of shite surrounding him

Finished with aplomb the debatable decision but that's all you can't ask with him
