May I remind you ..............

"No, look if we sell Fabregas we cannot consider ourselves a big club"
Wenger 2011

True story.

Fabregas and Nasri

He said both.

Both left.

Wenger stayed

We have been mocked ever since

It's not the same if you look at the specific quotes.

Will he be at the club this season? I say yes.

This doesn't give me confidence at all. Along with that he said that they are great lovers of the club and other bullshit like that but not outright saying that they're not for sale.

The decision has been made & we will stick to that. The decision is not to sell.

This sounds less like bullshit and more like a decision has been made on a board meeting not to sell the player. I'm far from being confident that he's staying but i'd say there's a good chance he might.

Why don't the reporters have the guts to bring his Nasri and Cesc quotes up when he answers that way about Alexis?

That's the first thing I would bring up and I would begin with, "..and I quote you.."

Asked if he was convinced that Fabregas would stay, he said: "Yes. As simple as that.

Becuase being told they're persona non grata by Wenger next time they try to interview him won't fly well with their bosses

Man, he cannot afford to do it yet again. The atmosphere would be so toxic. He would, once and for all, be proven to be an out and out liar and have total disrespect for fans.

Paying 30+ for Dembele (Celtic) a player we didn't want for 10m last summer ... that's just desperation .....

You what John ? How is Mahrez not a regular goal scorer ?

122 games at Leicester just 30 goals .... that's nowhere near top club front three strike record .... career record is 292 played 70 goals .... that's even worse than Walnut ....

If we had Messi and Suarez up front then maybe .... even with Alexis and Lacca it's possible .... but if he's coming as a goal scorer ... then that's risky

Believe me Wenger saying Sanchez is not being sold actually makes me more nervous.

This is usually Wenger's tactic of forcing the bidding club to up their bid.

Trying to draw a line in the sand by saying you either pay what we want to consider this sale or forget it.

He has no qualms about looking like a fraud to the fans in the meantime, he'll just blame the player stating "He wanted to go, he forced our hand".

Barca is broke. They aren't signing anyone and they aren't selling neymar imo. I doubt he'd want to leave to slum it in ligue 1
