Well done Federer but this was by far the worst Wimbledon I've ever seen.

Poor tournament overall.

Most one-sided final ever?

Since Hewitt beat Nalbandian 2002
Worst Wimbledon since 96
Uniformity of courts and serve and volley merchants are causing a real problem in the game
Only federer's story lifted it above that 96 tournament
They are introducing a next gen series in November
But with some true greats of the game nearing the end
I fear the game is in for a period of torpor
Only dip into tennis now rather than when I was younger and would go to Wimbledon and on that level still quite enjoy watching the game but I couldn't imagine being glued to it anymore

Imagine tennis 5 years from now.

All the greats will be retired.

The sport is in trouble.

Kyrgios to be the face of the men's game.

Jesus wept.

Yes, I'm probably using the term as a bit of a catch all
I mean the robotic nature of players with the personality and flair of a table lamp
It was ok when it was in contrast to flair
Hence the enjoyment of that mueller / nadal game last week but when everyone's like it
It makes for dullsville

Del Potro will be king

Anyway 5 years is a long time for someone to emerge but it does look weak atm.

I think Zverev is the one.

Only 20.
