Coquelin --- Ramsey --- Xhaka ..... that just about sums us up right there .... can't pass --- can't defend --- can't run .... and yet that's our preferred starting line up ....

Every game is a 'must win' and in normal times this would be considered an easy three points ... but these ain't normal times ....

I'm pretty sure he means Coq is the one that can't pass, Ramsey the one that can't defend and Xhaka the one that can't run.

Coq is a quality player but when you put him next to someone extremely average he takes it upon himself to open up the opposition. You don't see him try that Shit with Santi next to him.. God I miss Santi :(

Look again at my post - the weaknesses match the player ...... we have no complete midfield player, each has a huge and glaring weakness that oppositions exploit .... and that's been our problem all season ....

Coquelin can't pass quickly - put him under pressure and he coughs up possession ..... defence exposed

Ramsey can't defend - he loses his man time after time ..... defence exposed

Xhaka .... can't run - he either gives up a free kick and gets booked or is left for dead ..... defence exposed

There's a good reason why our quality defenders, we do have quality defenders, have conceded 31 goals already this EPL season, it's all down to piss poor midfield cover leaving them exposed over and over ....

Here's a recent comparison .... in two entirely one-sided games -

Arsenal v Lincoln - won 5-0 - allowed 2 attempts on target and 2 other attempts on goal

Spuds v Millwall - won 6-0 - allowed ZERO attempts on target and 2 other attempts on goal

Might not sound like much of a difference but if one of those two attempts on goal had gone in? where might Arsene's great redemption have been then?

The same goes for our entire season - we've allowed 107 shots on target that's 25% more than Chelsea (73) Utd (74) City (75) and Spuds (81) .... doesn't matter who's in goal if he faces 25% more shots he's going to let in more goals ....

Not blaming the defence .... you defend as a team, or in our case you don't .... it's down to tactics and player management, something we seem to be getting worse at season by season .... look at the trend ....

2003-4 conceded just 26 goals ....

2004-09 conceded less than forty in each season .....

2009-16 conceded over forty four times in six seasons ....

2016-17 already conceded 31 at 1.2 per game so on target for 46 against .... we won't win feck all with team defending like that ....
