Emirates Era XI?

Postby KG3 » Wed Jan 11, 2017 9:26 pm

Just over 10 years at the Emirates stadium now and we've all seen our fair share of amazing players and terrible players, but my question to you is who are the best players you've witness during that period and how would they fit into an XI?

------------------Cech-------------------------
Sagna--BFG(C)--Koscielny--Monreal

--------------Song--Fabregas--------------
------------------Cazorla---------------------

Sanchez---------RVP------------Arshavin

Fabianski, Bellerin, Toure, Flamini, Rosicky, Nasri, Adebayor

vermaelen was pure pants bar scoring the odd goal
merts slow as f**k and not as good as a defender as gallas was

Almunia

Sagna Mert Gallas Clichy

Rosicky Nasri

Theo Ozil Alexis

RVP

Theo, I believe our top scorer in the emirates era is a shoo in for anyone not being a troll. Ozil, Alexis and RVP also no brainers. Tried to think of a DM. Denilson and Flamini very close but decided to go with Rosicky and Nasri in CM. Both can play there.

Sagna comfortable as well. Mert has been our best CB in this era. Partnered him with the captain we came closest to winning the title with in Gallas. Never reached Chelsea heights but look at the possible CBs I could have put in Kos, Squillaci, Silvestre etc, Gallas gets in. Left backs have all been shit to average but Clichy was quality early on before Wengeritis infected him.

Almunia was quality from the time he displaced Lehmann to when he decided to f**k up couple of years later. People were even talking about him being England number one. No idea why or how he completely fell apart in 09/10 after 2 stellar seasons before that. Cech has been bang average. Ospina would get in but hasn't played enough. Polish clown is known as a clown for a reason

That team would be ripped to shreds by anyone with a bit of pace who could actually aim to shoot between a keeper's legs.

Man, nothing against you, but it's so sad that a serious Emirates era XI has a Mustafi who's played less than 20 games for us, Song as DM and literally you can actually argue he deserves to be there, Ospina as our 2nd best keeper and again arguable he is, Coquelin, a limited DM as a sub, Rosicky the sick bed case as a sub, Flamini sneaks into the Reserves, fricking Theo could actually be in the subs as well, and you can even argue Ramsey deserves to be in there....
