This game was almost a carbon copy of the Burnley match, except Middlesbrough had a number of great chances and on another day we lose that 1-0.

To me it just reinforces the fact that we need to play more than one way, and in my mind the clearest way of doing that is using Giroud (when fit obviously). It's great when we dominate Chelsea and smash six past Ludogorets but against bottom-half Premier League sides who are well drilled and defensively sound, utilising a target man is an option that can produce results. A little rotation from time to time doesn't hurt either as a lot of our forward players looked off the pace.

I'm not too worried though, providing we go and win the next one. After scraping past the likes of Burnley and Southampton we were due a result like this and by and large we've been brilliant lately.

I expect at best a draw against sunderland. 7 wins in row means 100% there will be few bad result following. This is Arsenal 6-7 good result and we get carried away. This is why we are seen as a joke. Also our attack is too bad with this type of defenses

Fancy a bet on that?

If we win, I win. If we draw or lose to Sunderland, you win. Loser donates £10 to Goonersworld.

I will have to see the team selection. Same front 4 as today I will take the bet. There isnt enough goals in this team

We've scored one goal less than Liverpool, who are the top scorers in the league with 20. There's plenty of goals in this team.

its not about right now. First 9 games we have much better conversion rate than normally. That will drop. We dont have one very good finisher. This is why I see us struggling in a lot of games this season. We already failed to score against boro, leicester and burnley goal shouldnt have stood. That should be three games with no goals. We really rode our luck with that pen against Southampton. We have had huge amount of luck this season. I never believed we were gonna win today with no cazorla. Just like last season when our season ended with cazorla injury....I see them same problem here

I was away so couldn't watch it, so I have two questions.

Did Middlesborough park the bus like Burnley?

Did we try crosses into the box?

So .............. they didn't learn a fkin thing then from last time? that's nice to know.

If having Giroud on is the only way to get these idiots realising that crossing the ball as a tactic to get around the parked bus then next time play Giroud, and you know how hard it is for me to say that.

Ridiculous.

Yes they parked the bus but they had a fair amount of chances from counter attacks and they were very unlucky not to score.

We were constantly crossing the ball for the last, i think, 15 minutes or so and we looked more dangerous, but we missed Giroud.

No such plan exists mate. If there was one someone would have found it by now

Cross the ball, if you can't go through them, then go around and over the top, worked against Burnley.

Ox put in 2 shit crosses, Nacho failed every time he tried to cross and they reverted to going back through the middle.

We missed Giroud immensely yesterday.
