"I find it weird that it's still a problem in football so we decided to try and show people that coming out isn't a big deal and can be a positive thing".

Pandering to the witch hunt I see. Don't people ever consider the realistic possibility that there aren't any? FM is really getting unnecessarily political with this and the Brexit additions.
At least they decided to say that it can only apply to made up characters to avoid any libel issues.
Carl Hoefkens says "it is a pity" that being gay remains taboo in football and says he played alongside two gay players during his time in England.

It'd be extremely naive to think there are no homesexual players in a sport that has tens of thousands practicing professionals across the globe.

I meant in England, where homosexuals make up only 1% of the population. Statistically it is more than likely that with the small number of professional footballers around, that there simply aren't any. And even if they are, the media's witch hunt to sniff one out won't want them to because they'll end up with the left wing media fawning over them all the time and also be subject to harmless banter from the fans every game.
