Don't think you've watched Dortmund play last season... Mkhitaryan has gone through a much more disastrous spell. I can recall reading he - at some point - had 2 goals in 22 league appearances...
Alexis never even near had such a poor season for us as HM's had for Dortmund less than a year ago. Dortmund's collapse was partly detrimental to his form but the same applies to Sanchez, who has still scored 11 and assisted 11 in 33 appearances for us so far this season.
We're accustomed to a much higher standard of Alexis, but he has still delivered regularly, despite playing poorly. Mkhitaryan - on the other hand - became a proper liability until he finally picked himself up near the end of the season when Dortmund were climbing further up the table. Coincidence? Don't make me laugh. Did sweet f* all when his team needed him the most.
5 in 42 is an atrocious record for a wing forward. Those are Chamberlain statistics, a player who you despise fiercely. 2.8 times worse than Alexis' sup-bar season for us.
Why is acceptable for a Dortmund player to have a sub-par season but not when it happens to an Arsenal player? and more importantly why would you trade them?
Football isn't all about statistics, but i've watched enough of their games last season and he was simply horrendous. Be careful what you wish for.
