Granted, they won the league cup in '12 but that is the only trophy they've picked up since the '06 FA Cup - 1 trophy in 10 years.

A solitary league cup the past decade shouldn't be enough to stave off criticism from the media.

Though I suppose no one really expects anything from Liverpool so nothing is made of it.

They won the moral-victory league in 2013/14, remember.

Indeed. Their squad is just so damn average, but f**k me they gave their best. Klopp also did everything in his power to change the outcome of the game.
