Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Postby Cripps » Mon Mar 16, 2015 12:36 am

Arsenal are lining up a close-season move for Borussia Dortmund's 26-year-old midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Gunners have been scouting him closely and have added his name to their list of targets. (Fichajes.net - in Spanish)

Not sure how's he been recently with dortmund a bit shit but he was very good for them when he first joined.

We don't need any more attacking mids. though. Unless we're getting someone of Isco or Reus' ilk our priorities should lie elsewhere.

Is he good? Yes. Do we need him? I don't think so.

We could need a winger, depends on what happens with Podolski, Campbell and Walcott this summer. Not sure if this guy is the right guy though. Should aim a little higher IMO.

No! This guy would increase our chemistry woes dramatically. If we are looking for attacking mid from Bundesliga, it should be Kevin from Wolfsberg or Mario Götze. I would like Mario as replacement for Santi. He even has same kit number in Beyern :)

LOOOOOOOL we're not getting Götze even if we wanted him. End of.

If we're going for a Cazorla replacement, I want Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim.

Don't want Mkhitaryan. Wilshere is better.

Have only seen him on couple of occasions but De Bruyne >> Firmino

Obviously. But I don't think we'd pay what Wolfsburg will demand when we already have Özil here.

Signing Götze (and paying his wages) is as likely as signing Bale.

Götze won't stay in Bayern for long. Only reason he went there is due to Pep. He did say that he wants to try out in other leagues. We already have Özil, one of the best players i German national team and we can't have Götze??. In premier league it is only between us and Chelsea.

I'd say that Pep wasn't the only reason. Being among the highest paid Bayern players probably also played a part in all that.
Next thing, Özil isn't the best player of the German national team. He never was, he isn't at the moment, and he'll probably never will be.
And last but not least. How do you figure that we could afford Götze's wages (which are rumoured to be around 12 mil. € / year) ?

If Götzes really does go to England (which I highly doubt), it will be either City or Chelsea. Heck, I'd even bet on United grabing Götze before us.
