Lahm, Dani Alves, Srna, Zabeleta, Maicon, Piszczek, Ivanovic would all do a better job for us IMO.

Sagna has great physical strength, pace, ball control, the best cross in the team, loads of experience, the right mental attitude on the pitch, great in the air and quick to react to situations in the box. He has contributed largely to our defensive strength in the recent year.

I dont think any of the above players have the exact same mix of attributes. Lahm might suit us better offensively but will he win the ball in the air as much? (Since alot of the mid to lower table team choose that route to attack against us)

No. Lahm, yes, but the rest?

Maicon's had his best days, Zabaleta isn't good enough defensively, Sagna >> Ivanovic, Srna is good, but I reckon Sagna has more pace and the better technique, Dani Alves is past it and was overrated anyway... Defensive liability...

Lol at that list of RB's, Lahm is better. Zaba is good but Sagna rarely ever lets the left winger past him, always in his pocket. He's such a good player.
