New Line Up for Soccer Saturday on Sky

Postby jayramfootball » Thu Aug 27, 2020 11:16 am

So Le Tissier, Phil Thompson and Charlie Nicholas have been sacked from Sky.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football ... -thompson/

Jeff Stelling and Paul Merson remain on the Soccer Saturday show... and will be joined by a new crew for the 20/21 season.

I could never stand Phil Thompson, but thought Le Tiss and Nicholas did a good job.
Not sure why Merson kept his job??? He's awful.

I wonder who the replacements will be?

Going to make a prediction that our very own Alex Scott will fill one of the places. Think she's been pretty good in her broadcasting career to date.

Any guesses?

Matt Murray & Clinton Morrison imo

The likes of Micah Richards & Liam Rosenior are far more important than being on soccer Saturday, and Alex Scott wants to be a presenter rather than a pundit

Thank f**k Le Tiss is off; the thick anti-vax flat earth believing c***

You can be sure they will all be paid up BLM members, is it a coincidence that all those leaving are also the first ones who removed their BLM badges? Le Tiss was a weird fecker but he knew his football. As long as the replacements are selected on their football knowledge and ability to communicate, not some weird diversity quota, then nobody should care what sex, colour, or nationality they are ...

Paul Merson is still on there and can’t pronounce any name that’s from the outside of the British Isles, in fact it’s a running joke

Haven't watched GSS in years

Bring back Rodney Marsh tbh

Merson is the most entertaining. Liked Le Tissier.

But as mentioned you'll get the token black guy and possibly female as well

The old guard are out and the BLM are moving in.

Won’t be half as funny with the likes of Clinton f***ing Morrison. Might as well watch BT sport score (aka the Robbie savage cock up show) or whatever it’s called.

Jeff Stelling is considering his position on the back of the sackings.

Says he'll make an announcement shortly.

Definitely won't be the same without him.
