He's levels above the Liverpool midfielders, crazy that they looked like a world class team for 2 seasons and yet he still stands out by miles already.

Thiago, Rodriguez both very good, maybe we should have been in for them given our need in midfield? Right now the pursuit of our targets aren’t going too well.

If we bought Thiago, people would be complaining about his wages and resale value on Day 1.

Well it was a factor tbf, when he was rumoured for 30m it felt to much for his age with our squad. For 20m it's a much better deal and for Liverpol it's a much easier decision given they seem to raise 20m in 5 mins by selling two random kids.

We’re reportedly trying to pull together £50m and £200k a week for Partey.

Thiago is a proven winner, experienced and exactly the type of midfielder we are crying out for

Don't think we are though, since that rumour came out about his 200k pw wages, there hasn't been much movement on the Partey deal.

All about Aouar, who at 50m, I think is a better deal than Thiago but it's probably close. Again our current position factors in, if Aouar does well then we could make 50m profit in a couple of years.

I haven’t seen enough of Aouar tbh.

My only concern would be how long he takes to settle and whether we will even get him.

My point re. Thiago is he’s a proven winner is arguably e less risky and also half the price of Aouar. Thiago would get us CL and we could then use the funding boost to get Aouar the following year.

Spurs, Chelsea and United have all lost already. Good for us before we enter this difficult period.

Not saying you don't have a fair point bud, I agree he would've been a good signing. If Liverpool were in though, he'd never have come to us so we'd have had to move early when the price was mentioned at 30m.
