I think it's ridiculous to have more than one national cup for clubs in top leagues to compete in. This also applies to France and Portugal.

Or if the League Cup isn't scrapped, at least prevent PL teams from competing in it and add the Championship to the EFL Trophy.

To me, competing in the FA Cup and the League Cup makes about as much sense as a team competing in something like the CL/EL and the CWC/Inter-Cities Fair Cup during the same season.

When it's all PL sides in the semis, what purpose does the League Cup serve other than letting lower league teams be cannon fodder against established sides?

Let's face it, that's already happened with the FA Cup. So why have another trophy that's basically a duplicate of that?

Man City are now shit. Losing 1-0 at home vs that shower of horse manure shows they are in need of a revamp this summer.

De Bruyne, Aguero are still good. World class.

The Silvas are quality playmakers. But after that and including guys like De Bruyne. This team lacks any real personality. Kompany leaving shows so massively now.

I'm not a huge fan of Guardiola and and what he's become. He's a world away from the great Barca side and is becoming rather stale since his issues were exposed at Bayern.

I'm the league he's exceptional and does well to cleanup the domestic cup competitions when fully focused.

Champions League without Messi he makes the same arrogant mistakes every time. Its too much about him winning his way rather than adapting and being efficient to what's needed. Madrid are bad and have issues but they will expose this City side.

The fact City are this bad and still clearly the 2nd best team in the league shows just how toilet global moneyball is. Maybe once Red Bull London become a top 6 club and challenge Man City in 2025 maybe people will see this game has not had a soul for a very long time.
