Yup. Depends on what sort or fuckery the board gets on with imo, if he ends up with largely the same squad minus some stars

Dear God.

On the Rafa topic, I posted this in another thread.

Could be more to do with Ashley wanting as clean a slate as possible in order to sell the club.

Who knows if a potential owner wants an expensive manager on a long contract as part of the package? They may want their own man.

My guess is Rafa was offered a short deal, and turned it down.

Having a manager like Rafa in place would help with a sale not hurt it

Not necessarily - for reasons given.

A new owner may want to sweep clean, and having Rafa there on a £15m contract might be seen as unattractive to them.

Looks like Derby have given Manchester City legend Frank Lampard permission to talk to Chelsea. Would be a weird one considering the huge role he played in City winning the title when he was there.

The reason why Liverpool wont win the league next year. They need someone like Ruben Neves in midfield and backup striker for Firminho. Meanwhile Manchester City getting stronger with Cancelo and Rodri, both are huge upgrades on what they have.

im afraid Manchester City will get another 100 points because its the best squad in football by far with Rodri and Cancelo.

Klopp playing 4D chess. A 3rd successive title = Pep taking another sabbatical and f***ing off to Juventus, leaving the coast clear for Pool.

Juve is unlikely as they have a big chance to win the UCL now under Sarri. He will get the best out of Dybala and Juve only need Ronaldo to be at his best for 13 games.

If Pep doesn't win the UCL with City this season, he will still stay for another season, or if he's happy, he will stay longer.

God, that sounded like Michael Owen. :P

After the City stint, I can see PSG being his next destination. He will have it easier winning the UCL with PSG where Ligue One doesn't matter, so Pep can throw it away, which he couldn't afford at Bayern or cannot at City. If not PSG, a national team will come and offer him some crazy €40-50m a year. Most likely Qatar or UAE.

Ideally, hope he joins Argentina. :hiding:

I know. I know.

Sarri to win CL? Seriously? He broke his trophy duck for the first time ever against an absolutely shameful AFC team. He has the Juve job because he's Italian and that's it. They'd dump him in a second to get Pep.

Sarri is never winning the CL, and neither is Juventus. They, along with Bayern, are comfortably a tier below Barcelona, Madrid, City, Liverpool.

what a masterpiece. It basically confirms that Pep is just a Spanish Warnock who was lucky to have Xavi, Iniesta and Messi. Rest is history of him having unlimited budget.

Jürgen Klopp: “People say, ‘come on, just spend another 200, 300 million Euros’. We won’t do it. There are only two clubs in the world that can, Manchester City and PSG.”

My man is throwing shade and Pep the bald and Manchester City as usual.

City & Liverpool? Ahem...

What´s the furthest City has gotten in the CL? And wasn´t Liverpool an assembly of Kenny Dalglish, Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing not more than 5 years ago. Sure, they are European Champions now and that deserves respect, but that´s more on Klopp than anyone.

Liverpool aren't spending because they're still paying off the signings they've made over the past two years, as well as all the contract extensions and CL bonuses they've had to pay out. Our fans should take note because we won't be spending big next summer because we'll still be paying off Pepe, Auba, Saliba, and whoever else we get this window.
