I slagged him last season but Kovacic is the exact player we are missing in midfield. Someone who is not only creative but mobile and strong on the ball.

Still makes some sloppy errors but looking much better now he’s settled.

They were fighting before Silva was sacked as well, you can see this in the Leicester game. Plus they actually have a somewhat balanced squad with a real captain.

Completely incomparable to our primadonnas.

Also helps when you go 1-0 up so early, we missed out on that luxury against Norwich because we started well but didn’t take our chances. Since then the doom and gloom has just kept spiralling ffs

Shows Marco Silva was just shit really, not good enough to find consistency with this team.

It shows the extent to the mess we are in and how bad our squad is in fundamental talent in midfield especially and of course our defence which I've been saying for months, i knew we where shit in the early matches vs Burnley and Spurs especially.

Everton have played exclusively on the counter today, 28% possession i think in that first half.

Lampard is lucky he's been saved by VAR a number of times, hes lucky the league is a joke this year with 3 of the original top 4 being laughably bad. He would of been sacked by now if United, Spurs and us where actually competent.

He's not a good manager, but with the transfer ban rescinded he may spend big on a center back in January to help him out.

and Chelsea keep leaking that they want Chilwell to the press, what makes then think he'd want to go there, we are a much better side

You guys have been exceptional this season but its because Rodgers is a good domestic manager who's best seasons are always without European distraction.

Rodgers trophy laden period in Scotland where sidelined with truly abject and pathetic performances in the Champions League and Europa League.

Be careful on that one, Chilwell i think would be very interested in a move to Chelsea and would still see it as a step up from Leicester. Either way i can see you getting top 6 minimum this year, maybe top 4 if United and Spurs continue to be as rubbish as they have been.

Chelsea are only a step up if you work in media and are obsessed by London as they stopped spending like they used to and have a team full of kids just like us, they won't pay what we'd demand any way so its all moot, if Chilwell goes anywhere it will be to Man City
