Yeah I think so.

Liverpool will find it hard to produce at such a high level three years running.

Dortmund burned out under Klopp.

Interesting to see how long his high-pressure approach can be sustained. I recall Wenger questioning the same.

Liverpool have failed to score in five consecutive away games in all competitions for the first time since April 1992, when they went eight on the road without a goal

Add the CL and fa cup defeats.

They are on the way down.

Blame Giroud and Wenger.

The assist record could've been out of reach, and we could've had an additional league title.

This game didn't matter.

Klopp will need to improve the midfield, and buying Thiago is the right statement. They won't have it the same way next year.

Dortmund did burn out, however their best player and top goalscorer going to Bayern didn't exactly help, so as long as they enhance the team it will be them and City again next year with possibly Chelsea if they get a new manager, i don't rate Lampard.

Well also they can't get the same luck again when they aren't playing at their best surely.

Not that they haven't been the best team this year, obviously they have been by a distance, but a few key bits of luck (Sheffield Utd, Newcastle, Leicester) really helped them open up such a dominant gap and demoralise City imo.

Hopefully next year will be a closer race if nothing else.

Lost 3 games in 01/02. None in 03/04.

3 in 07/08.

City lost 2 in 17/18. That's the second best L column for a title winner.

The third best, so far, is 'Pool this season. The fourth best is 01/02.

For teams that didn't win the title, 'Pool lost 1 last season. 2 in 08/09. We lost 3 in 07/08.

There's a reason why the Invincibles are the gold standard (pun intended).

I hate how 01/02 is underrated af too. The 1999 Treble is immortal but a DB10 penalty and if we didn't lose to Leeds, we would have had another Double.

Yeah. Footy doesn't work that way. Luck is always Chemical X. But hey, that's how opinion changes.

If we hadn't bottled it against Blackburn and Leeds in 02/03, we'd have had 3 in a row. And if Abramovich hadn't arrived with his billions, it'd be 4. :hiding:

Ifs and buts.

Respeck. Respeck. Respeck.

But I prefer not to speak. :lipssealed:
