There was a long gap between the incident and Sarri’s interview which suggests to me that he sat down with his coaching team who calmed him down and said to stick with the story and then decide what to do on Monday. This story is not over!

Players these days

Imagine if you will this scenario: George Graham calls a player off and they refuse to leave the pitch. Or SAF for that matter

Surely it would have been discussed beforehand that a keeper change would happen in a pen situation.

Sarri seems to weak for the Chelsea job, the guy sucks on cigarette butts what a state.

Clive Burley speaking sense to the first time in his life?

They asked him what Simeone would do if he were in Sarri's place. Burley said Simeone would storm to the pitch from the corporate box where he'd be serving a ban, run down the stairs to the ground, and drag Kepa back to the corporate box to have a fine chat with him.

Managing the media and potential shit storms is an integral part of the job these days.

That’s why he won’t drop him, or will be strongly encouraged not to drop him for the next game. Because if he does it will drag on in the media.

Chelsea will want this to go away ASAP.

Yup....it will be all smoke and mirrors, but it will fester on behind the scenes and hopefully play into our hands, as their team spirit continues to decline.
