It's like those mid-table/relegation fodder La Liga teams who have an extended history of throwing the towel against Barcelona and Real to preserve their energy for the next game.

pretty much. its quite embarassing

If Liverpool haven't scored by the 70th minute you can bank on them dropping points.

Because of their approach they are very much a first hour team. Basically the anti-Arsenal considering how we've habitually yielded our wins this season.

I could be wrong, but can't recall Liverpool scoring many match-winning goals in the last 20' lately.

Salah scores the opener for Liverpool - Ben Foster not looking good.

Tie over I'm afraid.

It's like some Bundesliga clubs did in the past with resting their best players against Bayern........

Yeah it's one of those recurring phenomenons in football that don't get as much attention as it should.

Ultimately you can't really blame these teams as they just try and maximise their chances of accumulating points.

Oh ffs. Man City are going to better their points tally this season, aren't they?

Spurs 2-0 up.

Harry's goal has to be the biggest gift ever by Luiz.
